Just came home from the movies watching Twilight.
As i write for a boulevard online magazin - amongst others - and my collegues and have to do articles about the couple or not-couple Pattinson-Stewart EVERY FUCKING DAY we kind of made in ironic cinema evening to see what the hype is all about (when i think about how annoying and non-understandable all this is for us, how much more annoying and how much less understandable must it be for the two? Sacrifying their youth to a film company, but that just btw). So, what is it about?
Going to the movies tonight, i was one of the few who really had NO clue about the story except from there are vampires and those others, not vampires but animals anyway, two boys, one girl (which is never good) and the author of that story which has been artificially extended to something like four books and five movies. Ok, i was prepared for that we-against-all-odds-love-story which appeals the girls and women and always has and always will probably. But somehow i also expected, i dont know, a story at least?
There were people standing around in couples. A lot.
Red eyes and yellow eyes.
A lot of jumping and running at high speed with close-ups of "Bella" and they guy played by Pattinson. Ah, one question here, why do vampires drive a car when they can basically fly everywhere?
Actually i expected a technically well-done movie, but it wasnt. It really wasn't. A computer animated baby - why? The dialogues totally unnatural. The fake fighting scenes - WTF?
well, to shorten it up: i really didn't get it. And it makes me wonder once again how arbitrary success is. And what a deep impact it can have in life, how it influences other people and why.
Just wondering.
gkk
